Players Workshop of Burlington will open the hilarious Wild Women of Winedale, by Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones,
and Nicholas Hope, on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at the Workshop, and continue through the following Sunday (no showing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). All curtain times are 7:30 PM, with the exception of Sundays, which are 2:00 PM.

The Wild Women of Winedale are the three Wild sisters of Virginia, the feisty, fun-loving trio of Fanny, Willa, and their quirky sister-in-law Johnnie Faye, who have supported each other through life’s highs and lows, and they really need each other now—Fanny is having a completely inappropriate reaction to her sixtieth birthday, nurse Willa has resorted to vodka and speed knitting to cope with stress, and widowed Johnnie Faye desperately wants to find a man—preferably one with a house because hers is at the bottom of a sinkhole!

The Wild Women of Winedale are portrayed by Jayne Gobble of Wever (Fanny Wild Cantrelle), Jody Ellison of Carthage (Willa Wild), and Amy Ford of Mediapolis (Johnnie Fay (Jef) Wild). Others in the cast are by Carole Halicki (Doreen), Melissa Wood (Betty), Joni Brainerd (Nora), Liz Ebbing (Edith), Marie May (Flo), and Mary Weinand (Glenda); all from Burlington. The production is directed by Mary Fox, and assisted by Catherine Hansen. Alan Fabel is producer, and Matt Poling is
stage manager. Other members of the production staff include Kaitlynn Broeg, Christine Claeys, Bill Ell, Libba Flores, Randy Wischmeier, Steve Poling, Kent Lewis; Nikki Critser, Erin and Paulina Aguilera, Dawn Ebbing, Julie Hensley, Ann Marie Anderson, Jennifer Fenton-Shuster, Njeri Patrick, and David Beckman. Previous Jones, Hope, & Wooten comedies done by the Workshop include The Dixie Swim Club, The Savannah Sipping Society, and Christmas Belles.

The Wild Women of Winedale is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.

Players Workshop is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit community theater.
